Treadmill Buying Guide

SB Fitness Equipment Treadmill Buying Guide

Purchasing a treadmill online can be an overwhelming proposition. This guide is intended to break down the SB Fitness line of curved treadmills to help you understand their real world differences and choose the best treadmill for your personal or club needs.

CT250 Self Generated Curved Walking Treadmill

The CT250 is our lightest, most compact treadmill. Due to the smaller nature of the treadmill, it is rated as a walking treadmill. The full length handrails make it easy and safe to access the belt from the rear, and provide comfort and safety while walking. The CT250 is equipped with flexible track slats for shock absorption and to decrease joint impact. The CT250 is perfect for seniors who look to add safe and convenient exercise to their day. Many of our customers have purchased the CT250 to be used as an under desk treadmill to add activity to their workday.

CT400 Self Generated Curved Treadmill

The CT400 is equipped with flexible track slats rather than firm rubber slats. This is our unique way of adding shock absorption to a curved treadmill. The flexible slats also have an added bonus of working leg muscles harder due to natural resistance. You could think of it as jogging or walking on the beach, although much easier on the knees and joints. The CT400 is ideal for rehabilitation, seniors, folks with joint discomfort, or for building strength in the calf muscles and thighs. The exercises that typically work best are walking, power walking or jogging. While running is certainly possible, the natural resistance tends to exhaust leg muscles faster, which can lead to shorter runs.

CT550 Self Generated Light Commercial Curved Treadmill

The CT550 is built on the same frame as the CT400, but utilizes hard rubber slats rather than flexible slats. This treadmill is ideal for walking, jogging, running or sprinting, and has a similar feel to other curved treadmill brands in its price class. The CT550 has a few added bonuses, including magnetic resistance, a wider 20" deck, and a water bottle holder. The magnetic resistance helps to control the user's cadence, and drastically shortens the learning curve.

CT700 Self Generated Commercial Curved Treadmill

The CT700 is our performance model, utilizing hard rubber tank treads and high-resistance to allow for a wide variety of workouts including, but not limited to: walking, power walking, lateral shuffles, jogging, running, sprinting, hill climbing, high intensity training and sled pushing. Essentially, the CT700 can do it all.
